The original Retrouvé is on Wilton Way in a 1950s era shoe shop. The walls are covered in period ads but the rails are now packed with my hand picked collection of vintage finds and designer pieces.
The second branch is a fifteen minute walk away on Broadway Market in classic Victorian era row of shops.
I sell everything from 1950s Frank Usher wedding dresses, 1970s Bus Stop satin tops, party frocks, capes, coats, vintage underwear and handbags.
There’s no generic vintage here and no ripped or damaged clothes. Good quality fashion is what I’m about. Favourite brands include Frank Usher, Betty Barclay, Bus Stop, Jean Muir, Clobber, Louis Feraud and Sambo Fashions.
I cater for all shapes and sizes. And if something needs altering, that’s where seamstress Rahima comes in with her quick turnaround alterations.
In the basement of Wilton Way is my menswear collection, including Burberry tweeds, classic biker jackets and vintage Swedish military wear.
Everything is handpicked and new stock is constantly arriving, so it’s always worth dropping by to see the latest finds.
